According to Amnesty International's figures, there are at least 34 men in detention without charge or trial under the Internal Security Act. The latest person detained was Abdul Basheer, the man who was implicated as a self-radicalized terror acolyte though he had not yet committed anything wrong yet. The authorities claimed, since there was no apparent transparency to these cases, that these men were involved in militant Islamic groups and therefore a threat to us.
