This is seen as a brilliant move to widen the fan base and strengthen loyal fans. If you have never heard of this band then perhaps it is safe to say you are not from this earth. This is your chance to see and hear what the hype is all about.

Rather than the earth-shattering political Year Zero; Reznor sings introspectively in the fourth track Discipline, “Feels like I’m losing touch, nothing matters to me. See you left a mark up and down my skin- I don’t know where I end and where you begin.” You are once again drawn into the ethereal melancholy especially noted in the eerie instrumental of Corona Radiata that reminds many fans how deceptively easy Reznor transports us into a landscape filled with loneliness.

It is recommended that you download the highest quality possible to take advantage of the sonic prowess of this excellent recording. Year Zero was dramatically engaging, this album fills in the gaps quite nicely without being overtly extravagant. For this free record, I can’t complain much. At any rate, you mustn’t give, come high or high water, this latest effort by Nine Inch Nails the slip.
