When I came across Chua Lee Hong on the newspaper, I was filled with bliss. For a moment there I actually
felt lost. I have always assumed I had been very ignorant of the facts, that I alone was guilty of ill-perspectives and brevity, that the majority of the local bloggers were irrational and condescending- now I am doubly sure we are not alone.
She wrote to imply that the entire Mas Selamat debacle did not warrant the resignation of the home minister. She is right I am sure. An escaped terrorist who have had plans to blow up Changi Airport and now might return to exact vengeance does not mean anything to Singaporeans. Deaths of many is nothing, just a statistic. Perhaps it was just a load of bollocks in the first place. She could be focusing on the point that Mas Selamat was just an imaginary hobgoblin. Indeed! Why didn’t we think of that? Of course it’s nothing. Let us focus on critical issues instead and forget about Mas Selamat. Look at your mailbox, now we are getting goodies, more money- more good years. Aren’t we going to be happy idiots?
Sure we are. We are happy as the kid sucking into his lollipop, we are as happy as the gayest rainbow and we’d drink and make merry. So now we know why we are blissful. We cannot afford to be ya-ya papaya and ask someone who is a rare talent and being paid millions to resign. Our island will sink. Thanks be to the wisdom of Chua Lee Hong. This is one hell of a writing, a fine piece of journalism. This is love at first sight and it is already breaking my heart.
Everyone in Sheep City loves you. I wonder how much I can get paid by writing this?

This sort of crap from her is pathetic but expected. She was afterall an ISD officer for 9 years before becoming a propagandist masquerading as a journalist.

Oh my, no wonder her writing skills and prose are excellent. She must be extremely talented.
I bet she gets a big bonus each time she writes like that.

If what she says is really true, it makes me believe that she is the main writer of the script for the Selamat’s escape. The whole debacle looks surreal because it is concocted. Her writing if she really responsible and clear, indicates that Selamat’s escape is no issue at all, implying that the thing is blow out of proportion, that only means that Selamat’s case is another make-up story. There perhaps never an escape in the first place.
But where is Selamat ? Dead.

Hmm.. Actually, I read Straits Times more for the money and finance section.. and I just flip thru the pages with commentary and objective analysis by our journalists..
They are as good as you and me in analyzing an event.. So, I wouldn’t even wanna waste my time trying to read something that i could have written.
Anyway, the current faith I have of the intellectual capability of the journalists is around 20%. the rest of the 80% are mostly there to fill the spaces of the column..

Yup! How blind love is when even with eyes so wide opened we failed to see.
We failed to appreciate how the whole drama of the recent “Toilet Break” was never in the first place the product of our ever-honourable MIWs.
Our MIWs have slogging day and night looking for ways to increase more ERPs, more bus fares, more GST and charges so that it can be channelled back to the peasants. YES it is we the people who are the ultimate beneficiaries…who later became complacent, ungrateful and complaint kings.
Have we lost our sense of proportion on the gravity of the escape as compared to providing the next meal on our table.
Guess what! Mas Selamat is the one who must be solely responsible cos the problem and mess was created by him in the first place by excaping.

“The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed, and thus clamorous to be led to safety, by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.”
